CAE Engineering Intern - Summer 2026

If so, Roush is the place for you!! We are looking for a mechanical engineering student to intern with our CAE group for the summer of 2023 term. We offer a dynamic work environment and exposure to many unique projects! The CAE Intern is a broad role that offers you the opportunity to work on a variety of engineering programs in the CAE group. You will work closely with a team of engineers to analyze a variety of structures using analytical and finite element methods. Within this role, you will use analysis software to create and analyze finite element models. The industries you will support include but are not limited to automotive, theme park entertainment, and aerospace. This is a 40-hour-per-week paid internship position located in Livonia, MI.

Minimum qualifications:

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a similar disciplineAvailable to work 40 hours per week M-F from May until August onsiteMinimum sophomore standing at a college or universityStrong course work solid Mechanics, Finite Element Analysis, and Numerical methods.

Proficient in MS OfficeStrong desire to learn to apply analytical techniques to mechanical engineering problemsWillingness and desire to get hands-on experienceWilling and able to work a 40-hour workweek

Preferred Skills:
