IAV is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior EDS Components Design Engineer (Electrical Distribution Systems) to join our team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of critical EDS components supporting next-generation electric pickup trucks and rugged SUVs. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering innovative, high-quality electrical solutions from concept through production while collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Essential Responsibilities & Activities:
Responsible for the end-to-end design and development of EDS components, including shields, troughs, grommets, connectors, terminals, and power distribution components Own component delivery from initial concept through virtual development, validation, and production launch. Collaborate with Purchasing and Finance to define technical requirements and support sourcing and quoting activities. Partner with internal module owners and suppliers to define, release, and integrate EDS components into vehicle platforms. Develop and maintain a standardized library of EDS components aligned with global engineering teams Perform and support virtual, physical, and field validation testing to ensure product performance and durability. Ensure designs comply with all applicable safety standards and U.S. regulatory requirements. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance system performance and customer experience. Support manufacturing readiness, including input into production processes and facility design. Manage supplier deliverables to meet cost, quality, and timing targets. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in wire harness and/or power distribution component design and release within the automotive industry. Proven experience supporting full product development lifecycle (concept, design, validation, and launch). Strong expertise in EDS component design (connectors, terminals, harness protection, and power distribution systems). Solid problem-solving and engineering skills, with experience applying structured methods (e.g., Six Sigma). Familiarity with CAE tools or hands-on experience with simulation and analysis. Working knowledge of validation and testing processes for automotive components. Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across cross-functional and global teams. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Strong proficiency with verbal and written communication skills, analytical problem solving, and creativity.
