Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Interface with cross-functional teams to design and develop solutions meeting design and interface requirements. Collaborate with design/releasing teams to ensure consistency in standards, requirements, and practices. Translate functional objectives into technical solutions and requirements. Develop and evaluate alternative design concepts. Integrate system components and support competitive benchmarking. Maintain Engineering Design Practices (EDPs). Implement innovation roadmaps and improve program timing via new technologies. Define customer interface requirements. Own and update DFMEA, DVPR, and FMEA ensuring compliance with objectives and corporate standards. Drive harmonization, quality improvement, and cost value analysis. Develop timelines and ensure program deliverables are met. Manage Tier 1 suppliers, software releases, and hardware designs. Interface with stakeholders (vehicle teams, HMI, validation, leadership, etc.) to deliver robust designs. Present action plans, risks, and status updates. Manage design changes and budget for successful product launches. Track, root cause, and resolve pre-production and post-launch issues (warranty analysis). Conduct concept design and feasibility studies. Resolve packaging, logbook, and manufacturing feasibility issues. Perform CAD modeling (Catia/NX) and maintain KBE templates. Communicate status using Google Suite and MS Office tools. Support early CAD development before supplier onboarding. Generate CAD models and 2D drawings with GD&T. Build harness BOMs and identify standard components. Coordinate prototype builds and long-lead component sourcing. Assess harness design and provide technical support to advanced teams. Resolve packaging issues with design teams and ensure Teamcenter task completion. Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings. Develop and release component designs meeting vehicle-level requirements. Support wiring changes, bulletins, and electrical builds. Deliver milestones on time and lead supplier meetings (POT). Manage engineering changes (CCD, CN, A, PER, ICD). Support standardization and reuse of validated components. Provide build and launch support and monitor warranty issues. Develop
HVES/HVBS
concepts and module-level designs. Coordinate battery system packaging with engineering teams. Deliver programs meeting performance, cost, quality, and timing targets (POP). Define and publish performance standards and validation plans. Manage part numbers, sourcing packages, and system-level OVPs. Execute DFM and coordinate with manufacturing engineering. Conduct system integration DFMEA for HVES modules. Develop end-of-line and conformance testing requirements. Maintain documentation for best practices and technology roadmaps. Act as point of contact for engine hardware issues and lead root cause analysis. Guide DREs to meet program objectives (cost, quality, performance, timing). Support change management and cross-functional collaboration. Qualifications Bachelor's in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering or MBA (ABET or equivalent). Knowledge of lighting development, simulation (SPEOS), and measurement. Experience in performance standards, PDO feasibility, and surface proposals. Knowledge of CAN/LIN, circuit analysis, Bluetooth, WiFi, USB. DFSS (Green/Black Belt), Shainin certification preferred. Expertise in NX, Teamcenter, CAD, and GD&T. Automotive product design and releasing experience. Tooling feasibility knowledge (injection molding, decorative components). Strong communication, leadership, organization, and teamwork skills. Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, FEA, Mold Flow, validation tools. Familiarity with infotainment systems, CarPlay, Android Auto. Strong knowledge of plastic/metal design, mechanisms, latches, and interfaces. Understanding of powertrain systems, CFD/CAE, and manufacturing processes. Ability to manage multiple projects and suppliers. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Hands-on technical experience preferred. Knowledge of systems/products is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and meet deadlines. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (including Canada/Mexico). Knowledge of power electronics, engineering protocols, and automotive development.
