Primary Objective The Mechanical Design Engineer position is a member of the Electrical Hardware Development team at MTS Systems. The team is responsible for developing and supporting a wide range of electrical products focused on high performance motion control and precision data acquisition. Major Areas of Accountability System cable and controller chassis design, build, and test Interface with vendors and CM partners for prototyping Generate documentation (Assembly drawings, BOMs, etc.) required for manufacturing and assembly Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or related field 2+ years of experience using SolidWorks for mechanical design and 3D modeling Hands-on experience with building mechanical prototypes Proficiency in Python for test automation and data analysis Preferred Qualifications Experience with AutoCAD or Altium Experience with reading schematics and datasheets Experience with Test Method Validation, Design of Experiment (DoE) Physical Demands (US only) The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job . Compensation Information:
