Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our Test Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and continuously improving test strategies across our portfolio of hardware products. You will play a critical role in ensuring product reliability, manufacturability, quality, and field performance throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in electronic hardware testing and troubleshooting, with experience validating products at the component, board, subsystem, and full-system levels. This position requires a collaborative mindset and a passion for solving technical challenges in a fast-paced engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for electronic hardware products. Perform functional, performance, environmental, reliability, and validation testing. Develop and maintain automated and semi-automated test systems and procedures. Troubleshoot and isolate issues at the component, board, and system levels. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities through validation testing and test readiness planning. Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to identify and resolve product issues. Validate hardware performance across real-world operating conditions and edge cases. Document, track, and communicate defects with clear reproduction steps and impact assessments. Analyze test results and data to identify trends, risks, root causes, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in the development of manufacturing test strategies, fixtures, and processes. Drive continuous improvements in test coverage, methodologies, and laboratory operations. Ensure compliance with applicable product requirements, quality standards, and industry regulations. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in hardware test engineering, validation engineering, or a related technical role. Strong experience testing electronic hardware products and integrated systems. Solid understanding of electrical circuits, electronic components, and embedded hardware. Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators. Proven troubleshooting skills at both the component and system levels. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and datasheets. Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation practices. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Experience developing automated test systems and scripting test procedures. Familiarity with manufacturing test processes, fixture design, and production environments. Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based products. Understanding of product development lifecycles and New Product Introduction (NPI) processes. Industry certifications such as CET, IPC, or similar technical credentials. Local candidates only
