100% Onsite•Maple Grove, MN We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a contract opportunity supporting the development, assembly, and testing of advanced defense and aerospace systems. This role is ideal for engineers with expertise in CAD design, Creo modeling, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and military product development. Key Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, structures, mechanisms, and production tooling.
Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, and assemblies using PTC Creo Parametric.
Perform engineering analysis, testing, validation, and product support activities.
Interpret technical specifications, drawings, models, and test results to ensure compliance with engineering and military standards.
Apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis to mechanical designs.
Support manufacturing, assembly, and testing teams throughout product development.
Develop technical documentation, reports, and engineering presentations.
Collaborate with customers, project teams, and manufacturing partners to ensure project success. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
4+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience with Creo modeling and drawing generation.
Experience with Windchill or similar EPDM/PDM
systems preferred.
Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack analysis, and manufacturing processes.
Experience supporting military, aerospace, defense, or precision-engineered products preferred.
