Overview:
Flex Vascular is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented engineering student to join our Research & Development and Sustaining team for a summer internship. This hands-on opportunity is ideal for students enrolled in engineering programs who are looking to gain real-world experience in the design, assembly, and testing of regulated medical devices.Key Responsibilities:
Participate in CAD design of fixturing primarily focusing on test methods using Autodesk Fusion Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot 3D resin printing (Formlabs) including using slicer software (Preform) Perform some basic catheter and medical device assembly prior to performing basic testing such as simulated use and tensile testing Conduct testing and data analysis, ensuring traceability and accurate documentation Assist with venous research review and production documentation Support cross-functional activities between R D, Sustaining, and Quality Help maintain the R D lab (equipment calibration, environmental monitoring, inventory) Observe and contribute to team meetings focused on project execution and FDA compliance Learn about the integration of product development with quality systems and regulatory standardsQualifications:
Enrollment in college-level engineering courses (e.g., Advanced Math, CAD, Engineering Design) Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly or technical tools Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes Experience in CAD software package (Solidworks, Autodesk products preferred)- creating a basic fixture may be required during interview Familiarity with engineering drawings and design documentation Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills Self-motivated, organized, and dependable

8:00 AM- 4:00
PM Friday:
