• Job Summary:

• Be an integral part of the team that keeps NSI on the cutting edge of NDT (Non Destructive Testing) technology. This position drives technical innovations in industrial x-ray, automation, and CT products from prototype to commercialization.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• + Provide robust mechanical design and technical support of NSI products and components throughout product lifecycle.

+ Develop complex machine designs incorporating motion control systems, robotics, and part handling in accordance with product requirements. Precision material handling equipment design experience preferred, but not required. + Design components and assemblies using SolidWorks. + Prepare detailed drawings and bills of materials for the fabrication and assembly of equipment. + Provide analysis of drive systems, structural assemblies and sub-components using basic calculation methods and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). + Interface with manufacturing to support product assembly, testing, troubleshooting and installation. + Interface with project/product management to ensure projects meet schedule and delivery requirements. + Develop working knowledge of X-ray and NDT techniques through NSI technical experts and practical application. + Lead and participate in design reviews for minor designs with cross functional teams and customers. + Collaborate with a cross functional team of software, controls, and NDT engineers to develop innovative solutions. + Prepare detailed customer installation layouts and facilities requirements for the customer. + Support technical services to provide customer support as required.

• Qualifications:

• + Bachelor's degree in Engineering + Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience (machine design preferred).

+ Skilled at 3d modeling and detail drawing (e.g. SolidWorks, NX, Inventor) + Basic knowledge of mechanical analysis using FEA and hand calculations. + Excellent written and verbal communication. + Good time management. + Ability to take lead when necessary + Adaptable to rapidly changing environment. + Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

• Compensation Information:

• Compensation for this position ranges from $72,800 - $104,000, based on education and experience.
