Full-Time Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with strong New Product Development (NPD) experience to support the design and development of innovative mechanical systems and components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in sheet metal, casting, and rotomolded component design using SolidWorks, along with strong engineering analysis capabilities. Key Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for new product development projects. Create detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks.
Design components involving:
Sheet metal Castings Rotomolded parts Perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure manufacturability and assembly fit.
Conduct engineering calculations including:
Free Body Diagram (FBD) analysis Machine design calculations Structural and mechanical evaluations Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and suppliers. Support prototype builds, testing, and product validation activities. Drive design improvements for performance, cost, and manufacturability. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience in New Product Development (NPD). Proficiency in SolidWorks for mechanical design. Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis. Experience with machine design principles and engineering calculations. Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to sheet metal, casting, and rotomolding. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
