Develop, implement, and track interim corrective actions (ICA) and long-term preventive actions (PCA) to address recurring issues. Perform data analysis using Excel and other tools to identify trends, quantify issues, and support data-driven decision-making. Support validation testing activities, including DVPR (Design Verification Plan and Report), issue tracking, and release activities for interior components and systems. Collaborate with suppliers, design engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust designs, manufacturability, and consistent build quality. Support and contribute to quality systems such as DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and control plans. Act as a key technical contact at the plant for interior system concerns, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues. Document findings, actions, and results clearly and share lessons learned with cross-functional teams to prevent recurrence. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent mechanical engineering experience. Familiarity with validation and testing processes, including DVPR or similar verification and reporting methods. Experience in an automotive plant, manufacturing environment, or product launch support is beneficial. Ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment This role is primarily based onsite in a plant and launch environment. The engineer will work closely with production operations, quality teams, and suppliers on the factory floor and in office areas. The work involves frequent interaction with manufacturing processes, vehicle builds, and interior components, requiring a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and problem solving.
