This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is experienced with 3D modeling and design for manufacturing. You'll be involved in projects from concept through production, working with custom machinery used in industrial manufacturing processes. The position involves occasional travel for supplier visits and focuses on standard equipment design using SolidWorks, PDM software, and traditional CAD tools. Responsibilities Design and develop medical device components and assemblies using SolidWorks and traditional CAD toolsCreate and revise 3D models and detailed drawings for manufacturingManage and organize design files using PDM softwareCollaborate with production, machining, and electrical engineering teamsParticipate in product improvement initiatives and custom machine buildsProvide technical support during fabrication, testing, and assemblySupport manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with iso 13485 standards Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in med tech environmentProficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with PDM toolsKnowledge of machining, fabrication processes, and tolerancingStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projectsExcellent problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of mechanical design experienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldExperience designing custom machinery or plastics processing equipmentUnderstanding of mechanical systems such as pneumatics, gears, and bearingsCompany DescriptionLabor Solutions Professional is a leader in the professional, temporary, and direct hire industry.
