Jr. Mechanical Engineer

Job Description An employer in Biloxi, MS is looking for a Jr. Mechanical Engineer to join their team in support of a federal contract the have over the next 7 years. In this role you will be responsible for:

• Performs the design and development of the construction drawings and develops specifications for MEP systems for construction or rehabilitation of existing structures.
• Evaluates projects to determine the most appropriate and economical systems to serve a facility.
• Prepares original design and preliminary and final layout of MEP projects, including size, capacity, and economy.
• Participates in final on-site inspection.
• Performs contract related services such as writing scope of work, site surveys, contractor selection, negotiations, construction performance monitoring, product design, design review of internal and external A/E designs, and evaluation, inspection and acceptance of bids.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Must have an active EIT certification
• at least 6 months of experience within MEP design
• Can obtain a CAC card
• Facility design experience
• DoD design experience
