Job Description
Build Your Career with Ashley Furniture Ashley Furniture is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our Upholstery Products team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, designing and developing mechanical and electrical devices and systems that bring comfort and quality to homes across the country. You'll work with cutting-edge CAD software and collaborate with cross-functional teams to take products from concept through manufacturing.
What You'll Do Design & Develop :
Research, design, and evaluate mechanical products, equipment, and systems using CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) to meet precise specificationsTest & Validate :
Perform engineering analyses and conduct tests to ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and quality standardsCollaborate :
Partner with manufacturing, R&D, and product design teams to create practical, cost-effective solutionsProblem-Solve :
Investigate mechanical failures, identify root causes, and recommend innovative solutionsManage Projects :
Lead product development from concept through manufacturing, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budgetSupport Manufacturing :
Provide technical expertise during prototyping, installation, and commissioning phasesDrive Improvement :
Analyze data and drive continuous improvement in quality assurance and production processesDocument :
Maintain comprehensive project documentation including technical drawings, reports, and manuals What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo) Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience in manufacturing environments Familiarity with industry standards and regulations Knowledge of project management principles and documentation best practices Who We Are At Ashley, we're more than a business…we're family.
