  • Permanent, Full-time Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Stamping Press Engineer / Manager to lead our cold sheet metal stamping operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This pivotal role combines technical expertise with leadership capabilities to optimize press performance, improve manufacturing processes, and ensure the highest quality standards. As a key member of our engineering team, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, oversee tooling and fabrication activities, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to meet production goals efficiently and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence manufacturing excellence and innovation in a collaborative, growth-oriented setting. Responsibilities Carry out continuous improvement activities to achieve targets for press department's Key Performance Indicators ( KPI ) towards Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Conduct training to operators and skilled maintenance technicians on operation, quality inspection, and repair methods. Must be able to work extended hours and rotate shifts when required. Be able to supervise kaizen and / or die maintenance technicians. Travel occasionally (domestic and international) for business trips. Program and troubleshoot high tonnage press machines / ancillary equipment such as crane, conveyor, etc. Thorough knowledge of construction of stamping dies and troubleshooting. Co-ordinate projects to improve efficiency of press machines and dies. Take corrective and preventive action to eliminate press defects. Responsible to fill 8D, 5 why's, and internal countermeasure documents towards quality. Provide engineering support for new model trial builds; confirm part quality to design and manufacturing requirements; create work instruction and inspection report. Estimate cost for new tooling, gauging, and check fixture during new model launch and design changes. Develop 2D/3D model of die components to fabricate components using CNC. Assist Supervisors in establishing and creating standard work procedures. Create expense and capital budget for procurement / repair of press machines and dies. Develop supplier & manufacturer network. Purchase spare parts. Experience Extensive experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on stamping press operations within an industrial engineering or process engineering capacity. Proven track record managing large-scale manufacturing facilities with knowledge of factory layout optimization and assembly line processes. Strong mechanical knowledge related to tooling design, fabrication techniques, CNC programming (including CAM), GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and schematics interpretation. Hands-on expertise with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAD/CAM software tools such as SolidWorks or Creo. Demonstrated ability to lead projects involving continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma. Excellent problem-solving skills with experience conducting root cause analysis for complex technical issues related to mechanical systems or process failures. Factory experience in a regulated environment adhering to
ISO 9001
