Job Description

Description The Mechanical Engineer provides experienced technical leadership across product development and manufacturing support activities. This role is responsible for guiding complex engineering efforts, applying advanced problem-solving skills, and supporting team development while ensuring products meet required quality and compliance standards. The position contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and supports the successful introduction and sustainment of products in a regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring experience supporting cost estimation and manufacturability, with hands-on involvement in complex, precision-based products.
  • Drive multiple engineering initiatives from early development through production release.
  • Ensure programs are executed on schedule and in compliance with applicable industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Support all phases of the product lifecycle, including concept development, manufacturing launch, and post-market activities.
  • Maintain adherence to regulatory and quality standards such as ISO 13485 and FDA requirements.
  • Develop, review, and support technical documentation required for regulatory filings.
  • Establish and uphold quality processes to ensure product performance and consistency.
  • Participate in testing, validation activities, and root cause analysis when issues arise.
  • Provide technical direction and hands-on support to junior engineering staff.
  • Promote a collaborative environment focused on skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead efforts to improve engineering processes, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance effectiveness across engineering and production workflows.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, quality, R D, and other internal teams to support smooth product transitions.
  • Support alignment betweendesign intent and manufacturing capability.
  • Monitor industry advancements, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies.
  • Apply current best practices to support innovation and maintain competitiveness.

Demonstrated experience supporting complex engineering projects. Proficiency with CAD and common engineering tools.
  • Craddle to Grave Working knowledge of quality systems and regulatory frameworks. Medical Device Manufacturing Experience Proven ability to guide projects and support team development. Comfortable operating independently while collaborating with others. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olive Branch, MS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.27
  • $43.27/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
