Job Description:
Position Overview:
The Project Engineering Lead is responsible for driving the successful execution of large-scale infrastructure projects supporting power generation, industrial manufacturing, and data center sectors. This role combines strong mechanical engineering expertise with project leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinator with cross-functional teams through all phases of project execution (design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning) Serve as the primary technical authority for mechanical systems and equipment design Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet client and internal objectives Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving technical and execution challenges Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to engineers and project staff
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field); advanced degree preferred 5+ years of experience in project engineering within manufacturing or industrial environments Proven experience working on large-scale infrastructure or capital projects (power, industrial systems, data centers, etc.) Proficient with CAD software and MS Project Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment design, and manufacturing processes Demonstrated project management and leadership capabilities Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience with EPC or capital equipment projects Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
