Senior Design Evaluation Engineer The Power Control team is seeking a motivated Design Evaluation Engineer to support our Datacenter and Energy Business Unit at ADI's Research Triangle Park location in North Carolina. The Power Control team develops next-generation controllers and power regulation devices. Our team of IC designers, mask designers, and design evaluation engineers work in various sites across the globe with a growing concentration in the Research Triangle. In addition to power controllers aimed at datacenters, our team also creates best-in-class general-purpose products to service broad markets. As a Senior Design Evaluation Engineer, you will be responsible for driving post-silicon validation, utilizing all resources available to you. This includes the use of AI tools to accelerate development and execution of design evaluation. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Perform IC characterization at bench level, initial operating review of the silicon for the design team, troubleshooting and early bug reporting, correlation, data review, and summary reports Develop all hardware and software necessary to characterize newly designed silicon fully and to perform all the analyses required to validate the design and characterize its performance Develop characterization solutions and interface with the DUT using a variety of interfaces SPI, I2C, USB, UART, GPIB, and more Plan and execute the bench test for the device. Plan pre and post-silicon activities. Provide technical expertise ahead of tape-out Work as part of a cross-functional multi-site test, design, applications, and business team alongside other design evaluation engineers Work seamlessly through aggressive project schedules Demonstrate best practices for the role while mentoring other members of the team Minimum Qualifications MSEE or BSEE 4+ years hands-on experience with post-silicon validation Experience with lab equipment like DMM, oscilloscope, function generator, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, etc Experience with automation of lab equipment using languages like Python, LabVIEW, or C++ Experience with design and PCB layout tools such as SPICE, PADs logic, ORCAD, and Allegro Excellent communication and collaborative skills to collaborate with global teams Drive to take ownership of projects from start to finish Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with LDOs and switching power supplies Experience with National Instruments PXI Familiarity with FPGA development For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce
