Position summary al specifications. Job Responsibilities•Design and develop robust and efficient tooling solutions for various manufacturing processes, including injection molding, stamping, and assembly. Collaborate with product design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure tool designs meet product requirements, production targets, and quality standards. Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews and provide feedback on product designs to optimize tooling requirements. Utilize CAD/CAM software (e.g., MasterCam, SolidWorks, Creo, NX) for tool design, simulation, and analysis. Specify materials and manufacturing processes for tooling components, considering factors like wear resistance, heat treatment, and cost. Oversee the procurement, fabrication, and validation of new tooling, working closely with external suppliers and internal manufacturing teams. Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues during production, implementing corrective and preventive actions. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tooling performance, reduce cycle times, and minimize maintenance costs. Develop and maintain documentation for tooling designs, specifications, and maintenance procedures. Stay abreast of new tooling technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes to drive innovation within the company. Job Qualifications•Bachelor's/Associates degree in Engineering and/or RJG MM Certifications preferred 3+ years of experience in tooling design and development, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX) for complex tool design. Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes, including injection molding, metal stamping, and assembly. Knowledge of different tooling materials, heat treatment processes, and surface finishes. Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles and practices. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
