Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering 10-15 years of mechanical engineering experience Professional Engineer license in Nebraska preferred Ability to obtain Nebraska PE license within 12 months if not currently active Experience with industrial projects Experience with heat exchangers, pumps, valves, P&IDs, tanks, and piping Experience performing engineering calculations related to industrial mechanical systems Experience with plant layout and equipment layout Experience with heavy industrial facilities, including food plants, chemical plants, mining operations, grain processing facilities, or similar environments Experience with piping design Experience with equipment selection and layout Experience creating material lists for industrial projects Experience supporting capital expansion projects and renovations of existing facilities Preferred Skills Active Nebraska PE license Experience managing projects from concept through completion Client-facing engineering experience Mechanical design experience for life safety systems HVAC systems design experience Plumbing design experience Gas system design experience Fire sprinkler system design experience Industrial facility renovation experience Experience coordinating design requirements with clients, internal teams, and project stakeholders Job Responsibilities Perform mechanical design for industrial facility projects Support plant layout and equipment layout design Design mechanical systems for capital expansion projects and facility renovations Develop piping layouts and piping design packages Select and lay out industrial equipment, including heat exchangers, pumps, valves, tanks, and related systems Review and develop P&IDs as part of the design process Perform calculations related to piping, equipment, HVAC, plumbing, gas systems, fire sprinkler systems, and industrial mechanical applications Prepare material lists for mechanical and piping systems Support life safety, HVAC, plumbing, piping, gas, and fire sprinkler system design Work directly with clients on project requirements, design reviews, and project coordination Support heavy industrial projects in food processing, chemical processing, mining, grain processing, and related facilities Manage design work across cradle-to-grave project phases Coordinate project scope, design requirements, deliverables, and technical documentation Support construction, commissioning, and project closeout activities as required Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
