The selected candidate will be involved with on-site engineering coordination, mechanical installation oversight, and technical support during all phases of construction and commissioning. Key Responsibilities Act as a Field Mechanical Engineer for the mechanical systems of a people mover system Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation activities including towers, stations, terminals, rope works, and drive systems Ensure installation complies with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and safety regulations Coordinate daily activities between contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline Minimum 5-10+ years of experience in mechanical installation projects Solid understanding of mechanical systems, gearboxes, wire ropes, bearings, braking systems, and drive units Previous experience with cable car, ropeway, gondola, chairlift, or aerial lift systems is strongly preferred Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies Strong field coordination and a hands-on and proactive approach Excellent communication skills and ability to work under tight deadlines Willingness to work on site in the Newark, NJ area for the duration of the project Benefits and Perks We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including: • Opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure project Health and vision insurance Retirement savings plan with company match Paid time off and holidays Salary will be commensurate with applicable experience
