Junior Mechanical Engineer Fabuwood Cabinetry Corp - 4.0 Newark, NJ Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications Manufacturing facility Full Job Description Position Summary A growing kitchen cabinet manufacturer is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support the Mechanical Engineer in improving machinery, tooling, and production processes. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. The Junior Mechanical Engineer will assist with equipment evaluation, process improvements, troubleshooting, and prototyping, while learning to take on increasing responsibility over time. This is a hands-on role that works closely with operations, maintenance, and production teams. Key Responsibilities Assistin evaluating and improving existing production equipment Support the specification and implementation of new machines for manufacturing operations Help select andmaintaintooling for machining and production processes Assistin optimizing machine parameters (cutting speeds, feed rates, cycle times, etc.) Support efforts to improve production flow and line efficiency Work with the Mechanical Engineer to troubleshoot equipment and process issues Help train machine operators on proper machine use and best practices Assistin prototyping and testing using tools such as 3D printers, lathes, and milling machines Document processes, improvements, and standard work instructions Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineeringor related field (or in progress) 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (internships/co-ops acceptable) Basic familiarity with industrial machinery (CNC routers, mills, saws, etc.) Fundamental understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, and speeds Strong willingness to learn and develop hands-on technical skills What We're Looking For Hands-on and mechanically inclined Eager to learn and take direction from senior engineers Comfortable working on the production floor Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Good communicationskills and ability to work cross-functionally Positive attitude and coachable
