Job Description

job summary: Our client, a leader in the aerospace and defense industry is looking for a Mid-level Spacecraft Thermal Engineer. Key qualifications include, 3-5 years of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering, with a focus on spacecraft thermal systems. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with emphasis on thermodynamics, or related field.
location:
ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico job type: Permanent salary: $100,000 - 120,000 per year work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities:
Thermal Design & Modeling:
Design, develop, and simulate passive and active spacecraft thermal control systems to predict and ensure performance across various orbital conditions.
Testing & Validation:
Create, analyze, and conduct component and system-level thermal testing to verify safety, reliability, and total system performance.
System Integration & Collaboration:
Integrate thermal components and coatings with mechanical, software, and systems engineering to achieve optimal, compatible design solutions.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain detailed technical specifications, drawings, and reports while ensuring full compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Troubleshooting & Mentorship:
Diagnose thermal issues from development through operations, provide ongoing engineering support, and offer technical guidance to junior team members.
