Battery Cells are the common denominator for every Tesla product. Our product requirements demand ground-up cell architectures withstate-of-the-artperformance, manufactured at volumes that are orders of magnitude higher than the products they power. We look for anyone with an exceptional ability to solve problems in both individual and team settings. This cell engineer willwork with a cross-functional team todevelop cell qualification plans to characterize initial cell performance,lifetime behavior,and cell reliabilitytoidentifycritical failures and degradation modes.
This person willoversee test progress at internal/external labs and coordinate test priorities. In addition, this person will conduct analysis toidentifyrisks fortimelyprogram decisions. What You'll Do
Developcell qualification test plans based on cell buildvalidationgoals and program requirements
Conduct analysis toidentifyprogram risk and work withcross functional teamsfor failure analysis and corrective actions
Communicate cell levelperformance and risksacross multiple engineering teams
Overseetest progressat labsacross different sites to minimize test delays What You'll Bring
Experience withlithium-ionbattery research, design, manufacturing, and testing
Ability to work independently on multiple projects with complex requirements
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or Equivalent Experience
