HEA is a full-service Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing consulting firm with offices in New York and Massachusetts that are well versed in new construction, renovations, additions, analysis, specialized systems, and design/build projects for a variety of clients. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with clients to provide HVAC, plumbing, and limited fire protection designs, studies, and technical support as required to fulfill project requirements. Typical projects will involve field work, design, and construction administration services. A knowledge of design tools is preferred, specifically AutoCADD and/or Revit. Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop design concepts, strategies, construction documents, and engineering reports for new building or renovation projects.
  • Ability to lead design efforts on multi-disciplined design projects including HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and limited fire protection systems.
  • Interact directly with clients technically by completing analysis of design options, cost benefit comparisons, and communicating results to assist owners in the decision-making process and maintaining those client relationships.
  • Responsible for directing and communicating with mechanical project team to meet project goals and deliver a high-quality work product.
  • Responsible to ensure project is coordinated with the electrical and other multi-disciplined teams. Qualifications and Skills Requirements
  • Minimum of 5+ years' design experience with a professional A/E services firm is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Strong writing, organizational, and communications skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a positive manner in a team environment.
  • New York Professional Engineer's License is preferred, minimum of EIT certification required or ability to acquire required.
  • Knowledge of AutoCADD and/or Revit preferred.
