CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Generation & Energy Management Team in Albany, NY; Buffalo, NY; Syracuse, NY; Rochester, NY; or St. Catharines, ON . In this pivotal role, you'll lead innovative solutions, mentor technical teams, and help clients modernize their generation assets to improve energy resilience and achieve long‑term operational success. What You'll Do Lead the technical execution of complex engineering designs, technical reports, and specifications for power generation, energy management, and industrial facility projects Provide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues across various areas of advanced technology Lead advanced technical projects, collaborating with other engineering departments and project management staff to deliver sustainable solutions Develop and manage discipline work plans aligned with project milestones, ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling restraints Guide and mentor junior engineering staff, including providing technical reviews and support Deliver technical development of proposals and external presentations to clients, public, and regulatory agencies What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience required Professional Engineer (PE) license required Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws Excellent verbal and written communication skills; persuasive and articulate in all settings Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range $125,000 - $135,000 Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
