The Project Engineer will be responsible for engineering and project management of capital projects as necessary to support plant process improvements, equipment and maintenance upgrades funded by capital investment. This effort contributes to improved plant performance and profitability through optimization of engineering effectiveness. This role is located in Buffalo, NY and will be fully on-site.
Base Salary Range:
$95,000
  • 125,000 May be eligible for a variable compensation plan bonus based upon company performance within fiscal year cycle.

Responsibilities Project Engineer Responsibilities:
Analyzes production processes as requested and recommends changes to procedures and/or equipment to improve productivity, equipment reliability and to reduce costs. Contributes to long range planning and research for capital budget preparation. Initiates and implements capital projects within schedule and budget constraints. Coordinates engineering, maintenance, contractors', and production activities to ensure successful equipment start-up, operator training, and operation at projected capacities. Provides post-project completion analysis detail as feedback to staff and administrative levels to illustrate performance efficiencies.
Project Engineer Qualifications:
Education
  • BS/BT Mechanical Engineering (4-year degree) Experience
  • Minimum 5 years in heavy manufacturing/industrial environment, including experience in hydraulics, maintenance systems, troubleshooting and project management.
Must be proficient in CAD, with AutoCAD experienced preferred. Must be proficient in writing both technical equipment specifications and installation specifications, reviewing and evaluating vendor proposals and implementing multi-discipline projects with minimal direction and engineering assistance. Must have good communications skills and actively solicit input from all stakeholders on potential projects to ensure each project is successfully completed and meets expectations. Participate in continuous improvement of
ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, 9001, IATF 16949
