The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $88,400.00 - $160,800.00 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.Tasks and Qualifications:
What you Will Do inThis Role:
Own and execute mechanical engineering scope for assigned Amazon modernization/retrofit projects Ensure project targets are met for quality, on-time delivery, and cost. Anticipate issues and address proactively where appropriate Maintain up-to-date project log through department project tracking tool Regularly report on project portfolio performance including but not limited to: on-time delivery, budget, quality, risks Own short-term monthly forecast across assigned projects regardless of resource reporting. Completes the design of complex systems that integrate hardware and software. Completes complex material specification, schematic preparation and appropriate follow-up. Completes recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction. Performs complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design. Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills to deal with most situations. Master understanding of project schedule and budget for Mechanical Engineering functions. What We areLooking For:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering At least 5 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer, but 8+ years is preferred. Proficiency in CET Configura and Autocad is highly preferred. Familiar with Amazon DC installation type (ARS, IXD, SSD, Air Hub, non-sort). Familiarity with Amazon specific MTBH, rates, and sub-system designs. Familiar with Amazon design specifications. Strong background in Material Handling/automation industry. Experience in a Mechanical Engineering position that is project-based (design to installation). Strong communication skills/presentation skills. Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of moderately complex assignments. Successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues. Communicates, trains and works with customer for final system design. Travels up to 20% of the time to different customer locations/Dematic locations #LI-DH1Similar remote jobs
