Job Title:
Mechanical Designer Job Description Join our Advanced Manufacturing Operations division and contribute to engineering design, modeling, and drafting for all stages of engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning projects. You will develop process & instrumentation diagrams, general arrangement, assembly, and detailed fabrication drawings while providing direct engineering support for manufacturing. This role requires the ability to multitask and prioritize based on project management direction, as well as develop and maintain project documents in accordance with standard processes. Responsibilities Engineering design, modeling, and drafting for various project stages. Development of P&ID diagrams, general arrangement, assembly, and detailed fabrication drawings. Providing direct engineering support for manufacturing. Multitasking and setting priorities based on project management direction. Developing and maintaining project documents such as engineering design deliverables, operations & maintenance manuals, and testing and inspection reports. Essential Skills Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor for parametric modeling. Experience with data management software, preferably Autodesk Vault. 3+ years of experience with system design and operation including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. 3+ years of experience with design for manufacturing. 3+ years of experience with design and drafting for machining GD&T Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's degree in mechanical disciplines or equivalent industry experience. Experience with Inventor, Solidworks, 3D modeling, CAD, mechanical, piping, GD&T, and structural steel design. Work Environment Work in a state-of-the-art 100,000 sq ft advanced manufacturing facility that employs cutting-edge techniques to co-create engineered systems for leading aerospace, specialty casting and forging, environmental, and automation clients. Experience concept tests and live simulations during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Liverpool, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
