Mechanical Engineer 🚀 Mechanical Engineer - Medical Imaging (Dental) Immediate Interviews | Hiring This Week | Entry-Level (1+ Year Experience) Ready to engineer products that improve patient care and push medical imaging forward ? We're hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join a fast‑moving R D team developing cutting‑edge dental imaging systems —and we're interviewing right now . This is a hands-on, design-focused role where your SolidWorks skills, electro‑mechanical mindset, and curiosity will directly impact products used by dental professionals worldwide. 🔬 What You'll Be Building You'll design and develop advanced medical imaging products from concept through production—integrating mechanics, optics, and electronics into fully functional, FDA‑compliant systems. This is not a maintenance or support role. You'll be: Creating real products Building and testing prototypes Working side‑by‑side with R D and manufacturing Seeing your designs go into production 🛠️ What You'll Do Design and document electro‑mechanical medical devices in compliance with
ISO & FDA
regulations Develop products from early concept through serial production Create detailed 3D CAD models and drawings in SolidWorks (ANSI standards) Integrate mechanical, optical, and electronic components Build, test, and refine prototypes based on real data and feedback Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure cost‑effective, scalable designs Support verification, validation, and manufacturing transfer Collaborate with European R D teams and key external suppliers Contribute to packaging, casting, and enclosure design Support optical and laser-related mechanical design Actively participate in cost optimization without sacrificing quality or compliance ✅ What We're Looking For (Entry-Level Friendly) BS in Mechanical Engineering 1+ year of hands-on experience (full-time, internship, or co-op acceptable) Strong SolidWorks skills (3D modeling & drawings) Working knowledge of electro-mechanical design Understanding of fluid dynamics Familiarity with DFM principles Exposure to medical devices or regulated industries is a plus—but not required Comfortable working with prototypes and manufacturing teams Clear communicator with strong attention to detail Willingness to travel internationally on occasion Motivated, proactive, and excited to grow ⭐ Bonus Skills (Nice to Have) Experience with optics or laser-based systems Background in casting, housing, or packaging design Prior experience supporting products through full life cycle Collaboration with international engineering teams 🏢 Work Environment Modern, recently renovated facility Quiet, focused engineering workspace Hands-on access to labs, testing, and production areas Collaborative, growth-focused engineering culture You'll enjoy a balance of deep design focus and real-world product interaction , surrounded by engineers who care about quality, innovation, and impact. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Melville, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
