This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer interested in temporary structures, construction engineering, and field-based problem solving. The candidate will work closely with senior engineers, fabrication teams, and field staff on a variety of construction support projects. Key Responsibilities Assist with field visits and coordinate with field teams and senior engineering staff to help ensure projects are installed in accordance with approved documents. Support the preparation of engineering calculations and drawings for temporary structures including scaffolds, site protection systems, and construction hoists. Review shop drawings with guidance from senior engineers to help ensure accuracy, constructability, and timely project delivery. Coordinate with fabrication and field teams to gather project information and assist in resolving design or shop-related issues. Assist with routine inspections and preparation of reports in accordance with applicable codes and project requirements. Prepare fabrication and erection drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Autodesk Advance Steel. Support inventory tracking and coordination efforts with fabrication staff. Learn and apply industry standards, safety requirements, and engineering best practices related to temporary structures and construction support systems. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program. 0-3 years of engineering experience (internship or co-op experience is a plus). EIT certification or ability to obtain EIT certification preferred. Basic understanding of engineering calculations and structural behavior. Familiarity with AutoCAD required; experience with Revit or Autodesk Advance Steel is a plus. Exposure to structural analysis software such as RISA, ENERCALC, MathCAD, or similar programs preferred. Strong communication skills and willingness to work both in the office and in the field. Familiarity with scaffold systems, construction means and methods, or temporary structures is a plus, but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills preferred.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
