Compensation Range:
$86,482.00 - $129,723.00 _The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._
  • Responsibilities:
  • Maintains responsibility for mechanical engineering design in support of renovations and additions to University facilities. Provides full range of professional mechanical engineering services in all phases of research, design and construction. Mentors and trains new or lower level engineers.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • + Manages and coordinates in-house mechanical design projects, including responsibility for planning, scheduling, estimating, client contact, preliminary and final design/drawings, preparation of contract documents, bidding, field supervision, project inspection, and approval for conformance and payment, etc.
+ Provides professional advice and judgment in application of building and fire codes, understanding of project procedures, processing of project documents, and relationships with clients. + Maintains general familiarity with project and dialogue with client on matters related to project. May assign and supervise selected tasks to subordinate staff. + Prepares recommendations on building maintenance. + Maintains authority to seal and certify drawings. + Other duties as assigned.
  • MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • + Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering required + Master's degree preferred + Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
