Job Description
Successful candidates will join the MIDI team, focused on developing a diverse range of products from medical devices to scientific and industrial applications. Responsibilities encompass initial Voice of the Customer research, product conceptualization, CAD design, stress/load analysis, prototyping, material selection, and guiding manufacturing processes. Experience with embedded system development, both in software and hardware, is a significant plus. Team members will collaborate closely with company leadership, staff, and clients, playing a crucial role in bringing innovative products from concept to commercialization.
Job Responsibilities:
New Product Design & Development:
Work with senior MIDI members to conceptualize and generate engineering concepts for products that involve and solve unique applications and while supporting user needs. Utilize SolidWorks to transition concepts into manufacturable subassemblies/parts and engineering drawings. Deep familiarity with manufacturing and material processes (injection molding, die cast, sheet metal, thermoforming, rapid prototyping, etc.). Desire to work collaboratively with various teams consisting of ME, EE, SE and ID disciplines. Ability to contribute to the engineering, building and assembly of prototypes and test fixtures. Source vendors and materials as well as procure components to facilitate engineering work. It is a plus if candidate has previous exposure or desire to be trained in the following:- Electrical engineering concepts including: schematics, board layouts, wiring documentation
- Design Verification Plans / Product Requirements Documentation / Design History Files
- Experience in Design Control / DFM / GMP / FDA / ISO standards
Qualifications:
BS or higher Degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering 3-5 years of relevant work experience in product development Proficiency in SolidWorks (CFD experience is a plus) Proficiency with GD&T Exposure and/or desire to ideate and be collaborative Self-motivated proactive thinker Strong verbal, technical, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills Exposure to working in a cross functional multi-disciplined environment Deep knowledge of manufacturing methods, materials, DFM/DFA as well as rapid prototyping processes It is a plus if candidate has exposure or desire to be trained in the following:- Experience working in a Design Control environment
- Experience working in the medical industry
- Basic electronics and circuits knowledge
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$80,000.00- $110,000.
