Project/Field Engineer

Steel Equipment Specialists, LLC requires the services of multiple Project/Field Engineers at 1507 Beeson Street, Alliance, OH 44601.

The job requires:

a B.S. or foreign equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, plus a minimum of 12 months experience as an Electrical Design Engineer / Electronic Engineer / Automation Engineer Employer will accept education overseas deemed to be equivalent to accredited US degree and also experience gained outside USA.

Hours:

M-F 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM with 1 hour lunch break.

The candidate will report to

General Manager, Electrical and Engineering AutomationJob Duties:

Design, develop, test large-scale PLC based material handling systems, equipment and machinery for use in the Steel industry; Write sequence of operations for our designs; Design, write and troubleshoot PLC code; Design and program HMI Screens; Develop and maintain a project schedule; Travel to customers sites to supervise Start Up equipment; Maintain and help develop new relationships with are growing customer base; Review projects including quotes, job specifications and resolve any quote to job specifications differences.

Key Skills Good communication skills, both written and spoken Computer aptitude, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite software Basic understanding of the manufacturing process; machining, fabrication, and assembly Able to work with customers on site, field work required.
