Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and manufacturing of water treatment and fluid-handling products. This role partners closely with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and improve mechanical components and assemblies for water treatment systems, including tanks, pressure vessels, and related products Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) Support manufacturing operations through process improvements, root cause analysis, and corrective actions Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations Lead or support product changes, cost reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement projects Perform engineering analysis, testing, and validation to ensure products meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements Support new product introductions (NPI) from concept through production launch Ensure compliance with internal standards, industry codes, and applicable regulatory requirements Participate in supplier collaboration and technical reviews as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline 2-5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes Experience supporting production environments and resolving technical issues Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective action Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional team Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chardon, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
