Professional Engineer

We are seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) to support project execution, planning, and technical oversight across a variety of roadway and site development projects. This role will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in alignment with design specifications and client expectations. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, a practical mindset, and a desire to be involved in both design and field operations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide engineering support across multiple asphalt paving and roadway construction projects
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate project execution
• Collaborate with Project Managers and field teams to support scheduling, planning, and problem-solving
• Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost tracking, and project forecasting
• Support change orders, force accounts, and documentation for project adjustments
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment and compliance
• Ensure adherence to ODOT specifications and project requirements
• Assist in bidding and preconstruction efforts, including estimating support and plan review
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency
• Support safety initiatives and promote a culture of accountability across projects

What You'll Need:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license (Ohio preferred or ability to obtain)
• Background in civil engineering, construction engineering, or related field
• Experience with roadway, asphalt paving, or site development projects preferred
• Working knowledge of ODOT standards and specifications
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both field personnel and office teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with construction/engineering software is a plus
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement

Pay:

$80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
