Job Description Summary Step into a role where your work literally moves engines. As a Support Equipment Module Leader, you are a technical project manager at the center of how our engines are assembled, disassembled, and transported. You will own the creation, maintenance, and support of assembly, disassembly, and transportation equipment for a specific engine module, helping turn cutting-edge designs into reality on the shop floor. You'll contribute to the design and development of tools, products, and systems, as well as drive improvements to existing equipment and components. This role gives you autonomy within proven processes, while also providing mentorship from senior module leaders to help you grow quickly. You'll use your engineering judgment, problem-solving skills, and curiosity to keep operations safe, efficient, and reliable. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities With guidance, lead a design team to execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of engine module assembly equipment, using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, and program requirements. This includes both mechanical and/or electrical engineering aspects. Develop deep expertise in the assembly of your assigned engine module, using your experience and technical skills to help execute policy and strategy. Build awareness of key business drivers and use that understanding to prioritize and deliver your work. Recognize how your team's work fits into the larger operation and supports other teams. Exercise judgment in solving problems and proposing solutions beyond standard approaches, while working with guidance from experienced leaders. Use your experience and on-the-job training to tackle a variety of technical challenges. Own and enforce Support Equipment design processes and requirements, ensuring you and your team follow established standards. Understand and design to customer requirements and CTQs, making sure solutions meet performance, safety, and quality expectations. Monitor schedule, cost, and quality of design deliverables, helping keep projects on time and on budget. Support manufacturers through prototype builds, answering questions, resolving issues, and making design adjustments as needed. Validate and troubleshoot equipment on the shop floor, seeing your designs in action and making improvements based on real-world performance. Work on special projects to improve design processes and quality, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation. Travel occasionally to support tooling validations or resolve issues at partner or internal sites. Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of mechanical, manufacturing, tooling, or design experience) Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance Desired Characteristics and Experiences Familiarity with design, test, and analysis tools and systems Experience or coursework in stress analysis / stack-up Awareness of assembly and/or transportation tooling and equipment Awareness of engine assembly and/or transportation processes Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously Strong PC proficiency Humble
