We are seeking an experienced Foundry Tooling Designer to join our team in Orrville, Ohio on first shift. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with strong experience in SolidWorks, pattern and tooling design, and foundry processes. Pay rate depends on experience, and we offer a 10% retirement contribution in addition to your normal pay along with company-paid healthcare coverage at 80%. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop foundry tooling, patterns, and related components using SolidWorks CAD software.
- Create and revise tooling designs to support production, quality, and manufacturability requirements.
- Apply foundry process knowledge to tooling concepts, layouts, and design improvements.
- Review drawings, specifications, and production requirements to ensure accurate tooling design.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and shop personnel to support tooling performance and project timelines.
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend practical design solutions for continuous improvement. Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in foundry tooling design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software.
- Strong background in pattern and tooling design.
- Working knowledge of foundry processes and manufacturing methods.
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
