Job Title:
Mechanical Engineer Job Description Join a dynamic and growing team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you will evaluate sales order requirements and specifications to develop innovative solutions. Collaborate with sales, electrical engineers, and drafting teams to produce customer drawings and act as the technical lead on assigned projects. Engage with internal teams including assembly, procurement, and field technicians to resolve issues during startup and project execution. Responsibilities Evaluate sales order requirements and specifications to develop solutions. Collaborate with sales and customers to resolve requirements. Work with electrical engineers and drafting to produce customer drawings. Act as the technical lead on assigned projects. Engage with assembly, procurement, and field technicians to resolve startup issues. Approve project release to manufacturing. Collaborate with assembly and test departments to resolve issues during build and test. Contribute as part of a project team to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable designs. Provide updates on project status and timeline. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required. 5+ years experience in designing and developing electromechanical equipment. Experience in designing sheet metal products. Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, with a preference for Creo. Experience with OEM design activities. Experience with bill of materials (BOMs). Experience with casting, compressors, pumps, and/or motors. Project management experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Electrical testing knowledge. Experience with noise attenuation (fan silencers). Customer experience. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience. Understanding of seismic, wind, and vibration calculations. Work Environment Work in a newly opened office near the manufacturing facility as part of a team of over ten engineers. Spend 90% of your day at a desk with 10% on the manufacturing floor. Projects are highly customizable with tenures ranging from 6 months to 2 years. This is a vibrant environment where a new product is in high demand, contributing to the company's impressive growth. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seven Hills, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $58.00/hr.
