Job Description

Champion GSE Company, a subsidiary of the
DEDIENNE
Group, is a growing manufacturer of transport containers and industrial ground support equipment serving aerospace and industrial markets. We have an immediate full-time career opening for a Design Engineer at our growing company. The Design Engineer is responsible for technical, administrative, and budgetary management from the design phase through completion, ensuring project progress is accounted for. With an Engineering Degree specializing in Mechanical Design, the design engineer should have relevant experience in mechanical design, ideally in industrial tooling, and a strong command of CATIA V5, ABAQUS, and
ADAMS. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Analyze and translate specifications or technical requirements into mechanical design terms 2. Carry out preliminary design and mechanical design of instrumental mechanical assemblies 3. Coordinate the use of computer-aided design tools 4. Prepare structural calculations (mechanical, thermal, etc.) and design files (functional dimensioning, tolerancing, definition drawings, etc.) 5. Organize and report on tests and adjustments 6. Draw up technical notices and reports (documents, analyses, interfaces, assembly, and maintenance) 7. Organize projects in line with quality and product assurance standards 8. Monitor the manufacture and construction of in-house and subcontracted projects 9. Act as a technical advisor to internal customers 10. Keep a technological watch on materials, design tools, and methods 11. Manage the mechanical design office's material resources.
QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering or related field 2. Project engineering management experience within an industrial environment 3. Experience executing cost control projects 4. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Methodologies, Lean Manufacturing. 5. Reading drawings from different OEMs and
GD&T. KEY COMPETENCIES
Strong communication and presentation skills, able to collaborate with senior management. Management of various projects concurrently to ensure efficient progress and effective outcomes.
