  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Engineering Lab Technician to join our innovative engineering team.
Lokring Technology is a developer, manufacturer and marketer of a unique, patented technology that is used in industrial pressure piping markets. This person will be a key team member of the Engineering and Innovation and Technology group and partake in the design, analysis, development and testing of new product concepts leading to customer solutions. Duties Perform lab testing of Lokring products to test plan established by engineers. Build, fabricate test specimen for testing. Create and maintains accurate test data information through adherence to lab testing methods. Assists with lab test documentation and reports. Assist in engineering design evaluations of new concepts as well as existing product for quality and performance improvements. Recommend alterations to designs to improve quality and reliability of products. Assist with technical issues e.g., customer installation, returned material evaluations. Assist with the development, maintenance and adherence to product development procedural guidelines.
Test equipment and analyse:
manual mills and lathes Maintain lab test equipment and calibration of gages. Ensure that safe working conditions and good housekeeping are maintained while meeting quality and cost requirements. Qualifications Proven experience with project scheduling tools and techniques within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and CAD models. Use of manual lathes and mills. Detail oriented with an ability to produce and maintain accurate information. Good communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.   • 5 years related work experience with
  • Product development design life cycle: Concept Design, Materials, Prototyping, Testing, Analysis, Manufacturing/Production.
  • Solidworks 3D CAD highly desired.
Pay:
$24.00
