Summary:
We are seeking an entry-level chemical process engineer for our Tempe office who will work with a competent multi-disciplinary team of peers with a wide range of experience levels. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new office serving industry leaders. Key Responsibilities Design for mechanical and process systems ranging from simple to complex. Types of design can include mechanical facility upgrades for semiconductor manufacturing plants, process piping and exhaust, hydronic systems, facility HVAC, and tool installation packages. Coordination with design team members, both in mechanical/process and other disciplines. Participation in client design review meetings and presentation of design strategies. Preparation of P&ID drawings for various systems, construction specifications, sequence of operations, testing documents, and engineering reports. Services during construction, including field verification, site observation reports, responses to RFIs, and submittal reviews. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Dedicated and committed to doing what it takes to get the job done. Must be punctual and results oriented! Interested in professional growth. Willing to learn quickly and independently. Team players and good at both verbal and written communication. Highly organized with the ability to follow instructions.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university. 1+ years of experience working for an architectural/engineering (A/E) consulting firm. Experience with advanced technology and industrial clients is preferred. Possessing an EIT certification, or will in the near future. Please identify any relevant skills you might have, such as AutoCAD or Revit, or mechanical system modeling software such as PIPE-FLO or Autodesk CFD. Please provide any past work or volunteer experience in your response, including those that may be non-engineering related.
