Design Engineer II

• Position Summary
• The Design Engineer II performs complex calculations, drawings and specifications related to HVAC, plumbing or other systems.
• Position Details
• + Performs more complex calculations, drawings and specifications related to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection or other systems.

Performs more complex calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, hydraulic calculations, etc. + Prepares preliminary redline design layouts for estimating. + Manages a single phase of a project. + Provides guidance to less experienced engineers. + Review applicable codes and criteria and examine field conditions as required to support design of project.

• Qualifications
• + Four-year degree in Engineering or related field.

+ 3-4 years' experience. + PE license preferred. + In-depth knowledge of applicable systems design, such as fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as general understanding of system operations. + Ability to read mechanical and plumbing plans. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Strong computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel.
