Sr. Controls Engineer - Custom Automation & Life Sciences Manufacturing | Based in Maple Grove, MN or Corvallis, OR $130,000 -$140,000 | On-Site | Full-Time About DT Engineering DT Engineering is a privately held, debt-free custom automation and life sciences manufacturing company with 450+ employees and $100M+ in revenue. We design, build, and integrate bespoke automated equipment for MedTech and life sciences industries. We're launching a new facility in Maple Grove, MN and building our team from the ground up. What You'll Do Serve as controls lead on custom automated machine builds — from architecture through commissioning Develop and program control systems for servo, robotic, pneumatic, and hydraulic stations Create electrical wiring schematics, panel layouts, BOMs, and release packages Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers, customers, and DT leadership throughout the project lifecycle Travel to customer sites for installation, FAT/SAT, and service as needed Guide and support electrical technicians on wiring and code compliance Maintain project scope, budget, and schedule on assigned builds What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience 5+ years in custom industrial automation Strong proficiency with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs, HMIs, and servo control Proficiency with Rockwell Studio 5000 and AutoCAD or equivalent schematic/CAD software Siemens or Omron software experience is a plus Life sciences or MedTech background preferred Strong communicator across engineering, shop floor, and customer teams
