Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Overview:
Kimley-Horn's is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Analyst with 2+ years of experience to join the Portland, Oregon (OR) office's MEP team!Responsibilities:
Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze and produce deliverables for our clients. Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' requirements for the future built environment. Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards. Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project tasks as required, such as dry-mechanical, wet-mechanical, plumbing/process systems. Tasks could include developing floor plans, flow diagrams, schedules, details and calculations such as pump head calculations, pipe sizing and distribution, and selection of equipment, etc. Support our collaboration of multi-discipline Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing/process piping, Instrumentation & Controls, Telecom/Technology team specifically working on large scale Building Systems engineering designs. Project type will vary but may include Advanced Technology, Industrial, Micro-electronics, Mission Critical, Hospitals, Central Utility Plants and moreQualifications:
2+ years experience in a similar mechanical engineering role An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Mechanical Engineering EIT/EI certification or have the ability to obtain certification Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment Passion and demonstrated drive to achieve goals Skilled in Revit and AutoCAD, and exposure to Pipeflo software Salary range: $90,000 - $135,000 Why Kimley-Horn?: At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
