Full Job Description Overview:
Kimley-Horn is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join the Portland, Oregon office!
Responsibilities:
Expand our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team providing services in HVAC design. Requires the ability to oversee the HVAC design of projects from concept to completion, including continuous interface with the design team and clients. Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24 Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability Write responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for various clients and marketing opportunities Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team Mentor and coordinate the work of designers and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects Manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance
Qualifications:
10+ years of related experience Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24 Experience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects Able to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team
