DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
In this position, you will serve as the agency's in-house mechanical design expert, providing senior management with guidance on the impact of emerging technologies. Your responsibilities will include preparing design data, specifications, and CAD drawings for construction projects, as well as performing site surveys. You will coordinate design activities with other disciplines within the bureau, institutional staff, external design professionals, code officials, and other relevant stakeholders. A key duty of this role will be recommending updates to policies and procedures by evaluating the benefits and drawbacks of current mechanical engineering standards, practices, and materials. Two years as a Mechanical Engineer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of professional mechanical engineering experience which required work on any structural mechanical system. Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists
