Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to join our manufacturing and quality assurance team. The Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing testing procedures to ensure the integrity, safety, and performance of our products. This role plays a vital part in maintaining high standards of quality control by utilizing advanced testing techniques and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with schematics, and experience with surface mount technology, non-destructive testing, and quality inspection processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Duties Develop comprehensive test plans and procedures based on product specifications and industry standards such as ASME codes & standards. Conduct mechanical inspections using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement instruments to verify component dimensions and assembly accuracy. Perform surface mount technology (SMT) inspections and soldering assessments to ensure proper electronic assembly. Utilize schematics and technical drawings to guide testing processes and troubleshoot issues during product assembly. Execute non-destructive testing methods to evaluate material integrity without damaging components or assemblies. Collect, analyze, and document data from various tests to identify defects or deviations from quality standards. Conduct quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to maintain consistent product quality. Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret schematics, troubleshoot problems, and improve manufacturing procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant ASME codes & standards during all testing activities. Maintain detailed records of inspection results, test reports, and calibration logs for audit purposes. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process enhancements in quality assurance. Requirements Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on quality control or quality assurance roles. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by familiarity with surface mount technology (SMT) processes. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings, and engineering documentation. Hands-on experience with hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment, and other precision measurement devices. Knowledge of non-destructive testing techniques and data collection methods. Ability to perform detailed analysis of inspection data and generate comprehensive reports. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards relevant to manufacturing safety and quality practices. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills. Effective communication skills for collaborating across multidisciplinary teams. Ability to interpret technical schematics and assemble components accurately.
