We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team and help bring engineered solutions to life. In this role, you'll support the design and development of assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and Bills of Material for Engineered-to-Order products. Using tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and drawing management systems, you'll collaborate with Application Engineers, Operations, and Sales to deliver custom solutions that meet real-world demands. Responsibilities:
Independently perform design assignments for simple to complex items using design standards and tools, product knowledge, design expertise, creativity and resourcefulness for new engineered orders. Prepare product design layouts, engineering drawings, and other technical documentation in collaboration with Product or Application Engineers. Ensure that designs use current manufacturing, assembly and installation practices that result in a producible product. Quickly become one of the Technical Experts on the YZ product line among other leading brand portfolios. Communicate with Sales and customers as necessary to obtain information to prepare drawings and related documentation. Write and processes Engineering Change Notices (ECN's) as required. Develop and maintain product structure and multi-level Bills of Materials (BOM's) using Milton Roy's engineering standards and ERP systems. Assist Sustaining Engineers with product issues and support New Product Development Participate in departmental or cross-functional teams toward the achievement of corporate strategic goals. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related engineering field) 3+ years of proven Mechanical Design experience SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience, with three (3) plus years' hands on modeling expertise Experience in a manufacturing, machining and fabrication environment.

Proficient Mechanical Design & CAD Skills:
Demonstrates solid proficiency in designing assemblies and components using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Capable of producing accurate models and drawings that align with manufacturing and assembly standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication:
Effectively partners with Application Engineers, Operations, Sales, and customers to gather requirements, resolve design challenges, and deliver tailored solutions. Communicates clearly and professionally across teams and stakeholders.
Product & Technical Expertise Development:
Quickly acquires deep product knowledge, especially within the YZ product line, becoming a go-to technical expert. Supports both sustaining engineering efforts and new product development with a focus on continuous improvement and reliability.
Engineering Documentation & Change Management:
Skilled in creating and maintaining accurate product structures, Bills of Material (BOMs), and technical drawings. Understands and executes Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) efficiently, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and ERP systems.
