Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Position Overview Our client is seeking a Design Engineer II with a passion for motorsports and vehicle development to join an innovative engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge vehicle and product development projects, supporting programs from concept through production while collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical design expertise, hands-on engineering experience, and a deep understanding of vehicle systems, structural analysis, and CAD-based development. Key Responsibilities Vehicle & Product Design Design and develop vehicle systems and mechanical components from concept through production. Create and optimize designs using parametric 3D CAD modeling. Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Develop technical drawings and engineering documentation. Support design validation planning, testing, and reporting activities. Prepare and present project updates and engineering recommendations. Engineering & Project Support Support customer projects through design, analysis, and problem-solving activities. Develop technical specifications and testing procedures. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve engineering changes and production challenges. Participate in customer meetings and technical reviews. Support prototype builds, testing activities, and product launches. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with design leads, engineers, technicians, suppliers, and customers. Assist with system-level design decisions and integration activities. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices. Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience. Experience with Siemens NX 2406 (or newer) for parametric 3D modeling. Experience performing ANSYS Mechanical Analysis. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and vehicle integration. Experience creating engineering drawings and applying GD&T standards. Strong written and verbal communication skills. U.S. Citizenship required. Preferred Motorsports industry experience. NASCAR experience highly preferred. Experience with Windchill PLM. Composite, tooling, mold, or advanced manufacturing design experience. Experience supporting prototype builds and testing activities. Familiarity with full vehicle development programs.
