We're looking for a Distribution Design Engineer II who thrives on solving real-world challenges, enjoys a mix of office and field work, and is passionate about building infrastructure that powers communities. ⚡ What You'll Do Design and plan electric and gas distribution systems , balancing safety, reliability, cost, and environmental considerations while applying industry standards such as NESC Develop comprehensive overhead and underground distribution work packages , including cable, conduit, and residential systems, using CAD and GIS tools Perform field engineering and site assessments to gather data, validate conditions, identify conflicting utilities, and define project requirements Execute engineering calculations (structural, guying, cable pulling, fault current, and protective coordination) and resolve moderately complex technical challenges Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, communicate technical solutions, and support continuous improvement through post-construction reviews 🧠 What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial) with 2+ years of electric distribution design experience Knowledge of distribution design principles, standards, and tools, including CAD (AutoCAD/MicroStation) and GIS platforms (ESRI preferred) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams Willingness to work in a hybrid environment (remote, office, and field) and use a personal vehicle for project-related travel Nice to
